The Twins – Third sign

Intelligent, adaptable and dynamic, Gemini is the first of the air signs. Characterised by the twins, Castor and Pollux, Gemini is perceived as having two sides that they display to the world. In actual fact they are chameleons and are adept at blending into multiple different groups, not just emulating surface traits but infiltrating and understanding the cultural core. The Twins are one of the Zodiac’s most emotionally intelligent signs and are expert communicators. In addition they are the divine communication link to the higher world. I have chosen to portray this uncanny ability to communicate at a deep and hidden level by representing the twins as dark, silent sisters playing the string game together. The string suggests a communication network with the astrological sign of Gemini woven into the centre. A lit candle shines though the symbol implying its link to the higher realm. Behind their heads is a circular stained-glass window also referencing the divine aspect.
